With the SlideCard you no longer have to install a modchip like No Solder, NEO, Messiah or DMS3 to be able to play your backups or original import games. You do not even have to open the console, therefore your Sony warranty stays intact. Normally when installing a backup solution, you have to open your console, and "split" the warranty sticker on the back. Thats all history now....
The Slide Card does not make any changes to the internal system of your PlayStation2. So after and when using the Slide-Card (Slide-Tool in some countries) your PlayStation2 is operating completely normal. Playing PS2 and PS1 original games as it should, and playing DVD movies as it should. No difference there.
But when using the Slide-Card in conjunction with the Swap Magic Discs, you will be able to play:

Slide-Card is a product designed to work in conjunction with the well known Swap Magic Discs. The Swap Magic Discs is part of the key for the succes of Slide-Card. The Swap Magic Discs are also used in conjunction with a lot of other backup solutions on the market like No Solder, NEO 2.2, S-Box modchips and the Flip-Top Cover etc. Swap Magic + Slide-Card works much like the just mentioned modchips, but without having to be installed, and without making internal modifications to your console. Slide-Card is safe, easy and very compatible.
SWAP MAGIC 2.0 DISCS
Slide-Card will not work without the Swap Magic Discs or similar swap discs. In the Swap Magic 2.0 package, there is to discs. One disc for booting CD-R games, and another for booting DVD-R games. The discs contains all the needed information to boot a backup or original import game using the Slide-Card!
In short the procedure for booting a backup is like this:
1. Insert a Swap Magic Disc in your PlayStation2 (use CD or DVD version)
2. Wait for the screen to say (insert disc) - that takes a few seconds.
3. Use the specially designed Slide-Card
4. Insert your CD or DVD backup or import game
5. Use the specially designed Slide-Card
6. Press X on joypad and the game starts - and you are now playing backups easily without a modchip!
COMPABILITY
How does the Slide-Card compare to other backup solutions you might ask? The answer to that question is, that it works as well as every swap modchip on the market, if not better. The Slide-Card biggest advantage, is that it leaves the PlayStation2 console 100% intact. There is no modchip to steal power from the laserlens, so the system is completely "stress" free. No other backup solution on the market can say that.
We are not gonna lie.. Bigger modchips like Messiah, Magic and DMS3 performs better in some ways, and you do not have to use a swap disc to get the games started. But these chips installs with more than 20 wires, can be detected by many new games, and is a bit more expensive, and you have to be an expert to install them. They make big modifications to the internal system that is not good in the long run. These chips are very compatible with backups of all kinds, no matter how they are burned, what there toc. sizes are etc.
The alternative modchips like No Solder, NEO 2.2, S-BOX NEOKey, the Flip-Top Cover and the Slide-Card / Slide-Tool are a little more sensitive on that account. You might experience a game than runs fine on a Messiah or Magic chip, but it simply will not run with the Slide-Card. Bad luck.. You may trye burning in some other way - but generally we say that: If a Messiah, Magic & DMS3 chip performs a 100% - a swap solution like No Solder, NEO 2.2, S-BOX NEOKey and Slide-Card performs around 90%. Simply forget the 10% of games you can't backup and play, and be happy having a backup solution that do not void the Sony warranty, that does not stress your laserlens, that is totally secure and very easy to use.
